EGUSI, is a West African soup, thickened with ground melon seeds and leafy vegetables. To add to it’s superb taste, you can add goat, beef, fish crayfish etc to give it an extra flavour. EGUSI is rich in fat and protein, and adds essential nutrients into the West African Cuisine. Many prefer to have it alongside dishes like pounded yam.
